Frequently Asked Questions
Don’t worry, we know starting something new can be scary. You are in safe hands. Beginners classes are a perfect way to access the foundations of yoga and go at your own pace with no experience necessary.
Alternatively, if you have the thirst to learn more, come along to a beginners workshop to gain a more thorough understanding of what yoga is all about.
For Burton we have a small car park in front of the studio. Alternatively there are plenty of spaces in Matalan car park on a short walk away.
For Derby we don't have a dedicated car park due to our city centre location however there are a number of pay and display car parks within a short walk. We recommend the Sidalls Road NCP car park as you can use the ParkPass app for discounted parking.
The minimum age for attending hot (including yoga and pilates) and aerial classes is 16. Under 16’s are welcome to attend any of the other classes if accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. They must have an account which their parent/guardian can set up on their behalf & sign the health waiver on their behalf.
Something you feel comfortable in that allows you to move around freely – for you, this might mean something baggy and loose, or tight and stretchy. Sometimes it can get a bit hot during practice so something that keeps you cool is also recommended and maybe an extra layer and some socks to keep you warm during your class’ relaxation time.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the class starts. This is to allow you time to sign in, remove coats and shoes and find yourself a space on the mat. Don't worry if you are early, help yourself to a free cup of teapigs tea while we prepare the room.
Just yourself! The studios are fully equipped with all the mats and props you could possibly need in your class. If you are booked into a hot class, please bring a long towel with you to mop up that sweat and a bottle of water to ensure you stay hydrated during the class.
We offer a class passto all new joiners that includes 5 consecutive days of free classes. This starts from the date of the first class you book into. After this point, a single class pass is £11.50, however we offer a variety of options depending how often you plan to visit.
Yoga and pilates are excellent during pregnancy and after the birth (although best to avoid hot yoga or really strong classes such as Ashtanga). It is recommended that you do not practice yoga or pilates in your first trimester. You can return to practice in your second and third trimesters, where yoga and pilates are both fantastic supports. Make sure you let your instructor know at the start of the class so they can provide you with suitable adjustments.
