Pilates classes in Burton and Derby
Pilates is a fun class for all levels that will compliment your yoga practice.
In our pilates classes you will use your whole body, engaging different muscles, with the aim of strengthening and toning. Whether you are looking for Pilates classes in Derby or Pilates class in Burton, we have a variety of different classes on offer.
In a pilates class the teacher will take you through a number of low impact exercises that place an emphasis on alignment, breathing, building a strong core, and improving coordination. This helps to increase your body awareness, which subsequently affects your posture, balance and sports performance.
If your core tends to give in, or you often topple over in your yoga practice, this could be excellent in helping you gain control.

Pilates

Hot Pilates
Pilates is a fun class for all levels that will compliment your yoga practice well. In one of our classes you should expect to use your whole body, engaging lots of different muscles, with the aim of strengthening and toning. The teacher will take you through a number of low impact exercises that place an emphasis on alignment, breathing, building a strong core, and improving coordination. This helps to increase your body awareness, which subsequently affects your posture, balance and sports performance. If your core tends to give in, or you often topple over in your yoga practice, this could be excellent in helping you gain control. This class takes place in a room heated with infrared heaters to 31-35 degrees. Our infrared heaters provide a sweet sweat that mimics the feeling of exercising outdoors on holiday in a hot climate. Bring a towel (you will need a yoga towel or a beach towel the size of a mat) and don't forget to bring water as it is important to stay hydrated in the heat.
Not recommended for pregnant women or children under 16.

Pilates Relax is open to all levels but is particularly useful for beginners and those who require a more gentle, relaxing practice.
Pilates sculpt and sweat
Pilates Sculpt + Sweat Class is a low impact but high energy workout! Adding extra resistance using Pilates equipment will help you to build muscle strength and improve flexibility. This class will leave you feeling fitter and stronger! Join us regardless of your fitness level - there always be adaptations and inclusivity.
Dynamic pilates with weights
This energising Dynamic Pilates class with light weights designed to strengthen your muscles and improve flexibility. Class is Open Level and suitable for all fitness levels. It will leave you feeling strong and ready for the day ahead!
Yoga/Pilates Fusion
Fusion blends together the best parts of Yoga and Pilates into an hour long class, combining the core stabilisation and movement patterns of Pilates with the traditional poses and flows of Yoga. It will strengthen, stretch and relax your body and mind, leaving your feeling invigorated and relaxed. This class is suitable for all levels as modifications and adaptations will be offered.
