Beginners yoga classes:
Beginners Yoga
To get the most out of your yoga practice and to feel confident in attempting more challenging postures, it is important that you start with a strong foundation.
A Beginners Yoga class at Calm aims to teach all the fundamentals to those who are completely new to yoga or to those wanting a gentle paced class. We will learn the importance of functional mobility based movement rather than creating fancy shapes or poses. This way you will have the foundation for a lifelong practice that can help to create balance in both the physical body and nervous system.
There is no need to be nervous, because everyone has to start somewhere. The focus is on listening to your body and moving in a way that works for you, not how anyone else looks.
Yoga Stretch
Come wind down your mind and body with this gentle hour of stretching and releasing. We’ll ease into a mixture of both active and passive postures to help melt away muscular tension and improve flexibility, whilst staying connected to our breath to soothe our nervous system.
If we only spend time tightening our muscles without finding balance with stretches too, this can make our bodies more vulnerable to injuries, pain and overall discomfort. This fusion of a hatha, yin and restorative yoga practice is suitable for everyone, particularly great for athletes, those with sedentary jobs or those simply looking for a slower practice.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Hot Yoga
Hot Yoga is open to all abilities, and involves an energetic vinyasa flow class in a room heated with infrared heaters to 31-35 degrees. Our infrared heaters provide a sweet sweat that mimics the feeling of exercising outdoors on holiday in a hot climate. During the class your muscles will lengthen as you work through the continuous flow of different movements and postures. This class will leave you feeling energised and mentally restored, the perfect way to start or end your day! If you get too hot take a break and sit or find child's pose. You will get used to the heat the more often you come. Not recommended for pregnant women or children under 16. Bring a towel to cover your mat and don't forget to bring water as it is important to stay hydrated in the heat.

Restorative Yoga
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow- paced style of yoga, which involves melting into a reclined or seated position and holding these poses for 3 minutes or more. These postures are supported by props, which enable you to stretch out the muscles and tissues around your joints, combatting tension in a subtle but unique way, that might not be possible in more energetic yoga classes.
Mindful Movement and Meditation
A gentle movement practice suitable for all to prepare your body for seated meditation.
You will be guided through Several short meditation practices and finish the class with a deeply relaxing Nidra (yogic sleep)
