Aerial Yoga is growing in popularity and isn’t just another yoga fad! The Aerial hammock is a versatile piece of equipment and together we’ll explore how it can be used just like any other yoga prop to create an intelligent sequence for your class, workshop or personal practice.

Whatever style of yoga you already teach or practice, the Aerial hammock is an adaptable tool to add to this, offering options for every practitioner. This course is all about training you to use the aerial yoga hammock safely and creatively, as well as enhancing your yoga practice with Yoga Alliance US accreditation points.

This is an in person course completed over a Friday evening and full weekend in our dedicated Aerial studio, Derby city centre.

PREREQUISITES

This course is for certified 200 hour registered yoga teachers who are looking to develop a new and rewarding career in teaching Aerial Yoga, or those who are training to be a yoga teacher and are interested in learning more about this vertistile practice.

Must have practised at least 2 beginners aerial classes prior to starting the course.

COURSE CONTENT

Learn to:

Design intelligently sequenced Aerial Yoga classes
Adapt Aerial Yoga practices to meet the needs of practitioners
Use an Aerial hammock to take yoga postures into the air
Use the hammock at different heights to include restorative/yin postures close to the ground
Safely maintain and prepare hammocks/other necessary equipment
Relate the health and safety at work act to the health and fitness environment, while using an aerial hammock

Upon full attendance of all 2 training days and teaching a ten minute mindfulness session, successful graduates will receive:

- CALM Certificate of participation

- This course is eligible for CEUs with Yoga Alliance (US) There are 20 contact hours, 5 non contact hours. This is a 25 hour CPD course.
